DEFTECH 2016

DEFTECH will provide a platform for Indian industry to interact with DRDO and identify opportunities for collaboration and joint initiatives, including Transfer of DRDO Developed Technologies to Indian Industry for commercialization / productionaisation. This exercise would definitely develop a long term sustainable relationship benefitting both DRDO and industry.

The participants at this Seminar will include senior officials from the Indian Armed Forces, Ministry of Defence (MoD), Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Academia, Media and representatives from Indian & Overseas industries. There will be a parallel exhibition on the side-lines of the seminar to showcase industry’s capabilities and products to a very high level of audience.

The objective of the Seminar is to

1. Creating Ecosystem for R&D and technology development for defence and aerospace
2. Understanding, partnership / outsourcing model & procurement procedures issues for greater industry participation in defence R&D
3. Identifying and mobilising industries interested in investing in defence R&D
4. Absorbing DRDO developed technologies for productionisation
5. Creating awareness among industry on incentives for R&D including availability of funding
